Project: MAZ 543
Programs: 3d Studio MAX and Adobe Photoshop
The way that I work is using and be inspired from prefabricated and
downloaded meshes, put them together with self-modelled pieces to
something new, because I'm better in modelling buildings (studied
architecture) than in vehicles.
The project MAZ 543 bases on the Scud-launcher from Viewpoint DataLabs
(downloadable at www.3dcafe.com).
At the first phase I "disarmed" the MAZ truck to transform
it into some kind of a expedition mobile. Therefore a living box must
have been designed (the architectural aspect on it). It has got 6
solar panels, 6 windows and 2 doors. On the backside there are 2 wheels
to replace. I applied some prefabricated and some self modelled objects
such as the antennas on the top or the fuel tanks at the backside
and a camo-look-a-like finish.
In the second phase the truck transformed from 4-axle into a 6-axle
and became a new box, a new "moon observation antenna" and
a new finish.
The third phase contains making a 3d late night scene with a gas station
and a pic with 2d sand dunes.
The Project sleeps now, but it's planned to continue.
Thanks to the Minsk Avtomobil Zavod for this very impressive truck.
